Amazing that they could program the space probe to travel so far & meet up with the asteroid & then get it to return to Earth.

I had the privilege to look at moon rocks in thin-section under a microscope years ago. Mainly made up of plagioclase silicate, hence the grey colour. Still a lot to learn about the Moon. Thanks for the video.

Once upon a time I thought black holes were very rare objects & now it seems they are everywhere in the universe. so much still to discover & so much still to learn.

Very interesting. There is so much going on and so much more to discover and analyse. Good graphics. keep doing what you are doing 👍

It would be a remarkable thing to be able to witness a supernova. Thanks for the video & keeping us informed of astronomical events & discoveries

Very interesting. There is most certainly life out there in the universe. Intelligent life maybe, however given the vast distance & the impossibility to travel even to our nearest star it is extremely unlikely we will ever have a close encounter of the third kind.

I hope this is a temporary glitch & a solution can be found. This proves that space is a hostile environment. Thanks for the update.

Startling to think that the sun can effect Neptune from 4 billion Km away.
24
Thanks for the work you put into bringing us here on YT the monthly updates.
23
Thanks for the news about the Red planet. Still a lot to learn. A geological note, magma is subsurface & only become lava when it reaches the surface.
22
The discoveries keep coming. I'm sure there is a lot more to learn about the stars of Orion. Lets hope the JWT will shed some more light on what is happening to Betelgeuse. Thanks for the presentation, your efforts are appreciated 😀
21
Good to know there is still a lot going on besides the JWT. This mission will develop our knowledge of what is going on with NEO's
18
No we are not

Thanks for your effort in putting this together. Looking forward to the partial Lunar eclipse 😃

More data & refining models will take time. It seems like the early days of weather forecasting (before computers), so the margin for error is greater. At least the scientists seem to be aware that the currents results have a degree of unreliability.
17
It is still early days in discovering what is going on in the universe, a shorter time than the theory of evolution for example. When you compare to what biological/evolutionary discoveries have been made in the last 20 years due to genetics, it is no wonder that something like the JWT is revealing more information and meaning that our model has to be refined and updated.. Thanks for the video, even though physics is not my strong point.
11
thanks again for the monthly round-up, always good to know what is happening in the night sky.

Thanks for the video. Can't wait for Spring!

Thanks for the video & the news ✨

Thanks for all the info! A lot going on in December. Could you do a video about the Pleiades as there is more than the 7 sisters, thanks
6
Thanks for the video 😉 Not much going on in the short Summer nights of the Northern hemisphere but the super moon should be good & a bright Venus.
5
Thanks for the monthly round-up

I really need to find my binoculars (I can't remember where I put them when I moved). Thanks for the update. Sadly there is only 1 patch of slightly dark sky with 200km of where I live.
5
Thanks a lot for the video calendar. Looking forward to the 4 supermoons 😁 Happy New Year

Many thanks for this bit of news from the long distant past. I wonder if the JWT will look at objects closer to home or is it only for these feint, far away stars?
4
Sorry but the results from 1 diamond (carbon not a stone) is not statistically significant. Ringwoodite is not the majority of the mantle.
4
Thanks for the update.
4
Thanks for this 😁 Cloudy where I am so no chance to see the full moon. I hope for clear skies to see the Super Blue Moon at the end of the month.

Thanks for the update 😁

The discoveries keep coming. The math lost me a bit but fascinating that we can see so far back in time. Thanks for the video update.

Thanks for the video, good to know what is happening even if my time for star gazing is limited.

New narrator? Not a fan, please got back to the previous one. Thanks for the video.

Very good & informative.

Amazing images! Thanks for the video 👍

Good news indeed.

Thanks for another video! Always interesting to know what is going on in the night sky even if I don't get a chance to see it because of clouds & bad weather.

Thanks for the video 👍

If only I lived in an area with dark skies & had a decent telescope. Thanks for the info. I'll try to spot some planets.

Thanks for the video. Almost at the Summer Solstice already & the short nights.
