  2. In hot weather I can often sleep for 1-2 hours in the afternoon. The problem of being awake in the night in winter is having to put the heating on. Since the pandemic & because of my bladder it is rare that I can get 8 hours continuous sleep. It is the 9 to 5 or 8 to 6 working day that put paid to biphasic sleep and artificial light that has extended activity outside of the home.
