  9. Simplistic. Ignores the causes of problems & the usual bollox of having a "balanced" vox pop. British Rail wasn't terrible in the 1980's we had the Intercity 125. 2 big problems this piece ignores: Thatcher & the Treasury still restricted investment & put more into roads as it was "cheaper" to build a mile of road compared to rail plus the PM hated unions. Railway maintenance was taken away & given to private companies to make them a profit while delivering a worse service with less expertise. Bonus fact: under the Tories rail fare subsidies have been cut while increasing the subsidy to companies ( more than BR got) to provide a bad service.

The police are public servants, supposed to enforce the law without fear or favour and are accountable, they should not be able to refuse to answer legitimate questions. How many of the Warwickshire hunt & Constabulary are members of organisations like the Masons or Rotary club or some other "old boy" network. Fox hunting must be banned completely! The only people who can take part in this outdated & barbaric activity are those with more money than sense.

  27. Useless Eustice getting money under false pretences. Has done nothing to get OFWAT to [properly regulate the water companies to to reduce leaks and stop raw sewage being pumped into rivers. Hosepipe bans should have been in place a month ago at least. When reservoirs are almost dry and rivers are, it is too little and too late.
