  6. These women don't know how easy they have it. In my grandmother's day it took a whole day to do the laundry: light a fire to boil the water, manually scrub the clothes, rinses, put them through the mangle, hang the washing on the line to dry then iron them with a metal iron that had to be heated by the fire ( no plugging into electricity.) She had a poor family so had to take in other people's laundry to pay the bills. Meanwhile take care of the children & her husband, feed & dress them. And none of the BS of sending stuff to the dry cleaners every week.

In UK they is a growing movement to get Menopause recognised like a disability meaning employers must allow time off or change work hours & facilities so women can deal with hot flushes, memory problems, lack of sleep etc. Of course this all comes with no change to salary & benefits. Meanwhile the men must just get on & do their job and not complain.
