This needed to be a 2 part video. It should be noted that Neither the USSR or China is a communist country. Russia was a dictatorship under Stalin & Oligarchy afterward. China likewise was under 1 man rule with Mao & oligarchy there after. Post WW2 there was never a right-wing regime, fascist or dictator that the USA didn't support

@nonamegiven I see you have a Troll account. So you are wrong as I said in my comment. When a country is run to purely benefit the ruling elite it is neither communist or socialist but oligarchy.

Not a bad overview but missed a few things. Milton Friedman & The Chicago Boys promoters of Reganomics & influence by the Thatcherite policies in the UK & their alliance. The involvement of Rumsfeld & Cheney in his government & the rise of the Neo-Cons. Nancy & her astrologer! He was naive enough to do the nuclear deal with Gorbachev. An interesting anecdote from back then. British journalist Simon Hoggart wanted to interview Reagan but had no luck until he said the topic would be Sporting Heroes. He was told he could have 20 minutes, after 2 hours he was desperately trying to leave. Reagan wasn't running the show others were, he was merely the figurehead.

The background to Machiavelli was interstate wars & the French invasion of Italy; use of mercenaries was widespread. Japan's gun laws are even more restrictive than Oz. The 2A mentions militia as the British army & its Hessian component was seen as a tool of oppression both the use of military force & the billeting of troops upon the civilian population. Thus without a US Army a militia was necessary. It can be argued that now with an Army & National Guard, militias are redundant & surplus to requirements. There was also the rise of the Black Panthers that brought in some gun restrictions as whites were fearful of anyone owning guns except them.

@kingdedede333 Please don't tell me what I'm thinking! Stalin was a brutal dictator not a socialist& neither was the country ruled by him. The shortages that followed under subsequent leaders are recorded, the inefficiency of the state to provide basic needs in a 1 party state where dissent lead to the gulag or mental hospitals. Mao was a peasant and another brutal dictator under whom millions starved to death & millions more killed during the Cultural Revolution. To classify either country as Socialist is to ignore both history & facts because both had a ruling elite that ran the country for their benefit not the proletariat.
