  1. Corbyn lost because he wasn't a leader, he could run a bath! He has been a rebel all his life. He could get party loyalty when he had never shown any himself. John McDonnell had twice the ability of Corbyn and a better grasp of details.

  2. The trouble with US history is that myth comes before fact too often. From the triumph of Christianity bringing civilisation to "savages", manifest destiny, "taming the wilderness" & white supremacy. One must not forget Hollywood's role in perpetuating the myths. The believe that a new Eden was being created and the still prevalent mantra that the USA is the greatest country in the world, unique in freedom & opportunity with a worshipful regard of the constitution that was written by demigods endowed with intelligence & wisdom that has never been seen before or since.

  3. The Dem leadership have abandoned the working class. The still believe in bipartisanship although it is dead. The think by having a better argument than the GOP means they don't have to change anything. US politics is corrupted by money/fund raising. So many still think Obama was a good president when most of what he did was in the 1st 2 years of his 8 years in office. Regan destroyed the middle class & convinced people that government is bad. Since then the right-wing media has dominated pumping out the propaganda that taxes are bad especially on the rich.
