  2. Saw or read something similar before. The body adapts to prolonged weight loss as it thinks your are starving so starts to conserve energy use to minimise weight loss hence the plateau effect. We, for the most part, live in a calories rich world so it is easy to overeat. As a child I never saw people eating & drinking on the streets.

  3. The USA has very low animal welfare standards that are rarely enforced. That is why Salmonella is endemic in their chickens. That's why I buy British bacon & not Danish.Veal is very low production in UK & we banned crates in 2007. free-range eggs make up over 60% of the market in 2021. Organic eggs can be bought in all supermarkets. You never mentioned the impact of Bird Flu! The UK is far from perfect but has better farm animal welfare standards than most countries. Oh, you forgot to mention the Eco disaster that is Salmon farming
