The police love high speed pursuits to make them look macho, so they can put out clips like this & probably make money, the expense of a helicopter. The criminals love it too for the adrenalin rush and their "15 minutes of fame". Then you have the pitifully low sentences which don't stop them reoffending. This is property theft, the vehicle is insured & it would be dumped when it runs out of fuel.
