@statphantom When I left work and went to uni as a mature student (I was 34), I got into security and web dev. I could write HTML in notepad etc etc. Anyway, I got lazy once I knew what I was doing, so when I had an assignment, I would sometimes build it with an Adobe product, and then edit the code so it didn't look like classic Dreamweaver code. It halved my workload, and given that I was also doing web design for the uni in my first year, then went on to be sys admin in my second year, it wasn't much of an issue. My lecturers knew that I knew what I was doing when it came to HTML, so yeah.

@statphantom Well, that's basically what I was doing. As a result of what I was doing, my HTML coding got better. I could hand-code CSS and other code in Notepad after learning from what I guess could have been really early basic AI in Dreamweaver. In exams, we had to write HTML code on paper to build a page that was described in text. Funny thing is, DW could never deliver exactly what I wanted, so I had to edit the code manually either way.
