I bought a $40 Ozito brand 12-litre 'shop-vac' and it's the best vacuum unit I've ever had. And I've spent thousands on a Kirby in a former life.

0:06 in and thinking, "$300 for zip ties? F___k that!"

Those little Chevys look very much like the Australian Holden Gemini from the 70s and 80s.

8:25 I'm 58, and way back in around 1978, I found a book called 'From The Movement Toward Revolution'. It was your average, 'we need to change the world' hippy stuff (rock on my fellow old hippies). There was a few pages (with illustrations) that compared the average muscle car to some early concept smart-type cars. Yep, they were right. We don't want tiny little things that only carry people. We want monsters that will carry the family and half the house at 100mph anywhere. Small cars are pointless...(roll on the inner-city Prius hipster environmental vandal comments)

Now, given that the average Joe uses zip ties to keep wiring and hoses tidy, do we really need uber-strong, uber chemical-resistant zip ties for $300? And damn you to heck for the Raid promo...

I like that many of those more modern US cars that are doing 160+ MPH are rebadged Holdens.
2
$11.85 is way too much for a Kamikoto knife...
2
Mmmm, a 1.2 million dollar bucket of crap. Drives like a top-heavy boat, and is built with a tail shaft totally inadequate for the job etc. etc.
2
4:05 I still remember when the 'Fuzzbuster' became a thing in Australia in the early 90s I think. Yeah, we were way behind here.
2
Are Jeremiah and Jobe actually...the same person? I must get Nord VPN and find out for sure without anyone knowing I asked.

Dr Squatch. Perfect for when you want to smell like an alcoholic after an all-night bender...

6:20. Nah, this isn't my coffee maker. Mine brews ground coffee. It doesn't just heat water for instant coffee.

I'm pretty sure these are still legal in Australia...not quite sure because I didn't check. But yeah, they're unstable unless you're in a straight line. Certainly not designed for playing on. Great if you're having a quiet, slow check of your 25-acre boundary fence but nothing more.

Back in the 70s, I used rope in place of a busted V-belt. It worked...for a mile or so. Good thing I had a lot of rope.

Yeah, nah. This is extortion. Well, actually, it's an attempt to follow the Microsoft licensing model.

'...forge 1 piece wheel low profile tyres...' The director had his kid draw him a 'cool' car.

2005 Ford Courier V6 4.0l ULP. They were imported from South Africa into Australia. SA had no CAT requirements back then but Australia did. So, my 2005 Ford Courier has catalytic converters added in at the Ford factory here using hose clamps. You know, those worm screw type hose clamps. No need for a sawsall. But being 17-years old, I doubt they'd be worth much.

Yeah, ya kinda have to weigh up whether you want an extra few horsepowers by deleting your cat, or whether you want your grandchildren breathing without the aid of a respirator.

Raid promotions make me cringe. I hope the money they pay is worth it. Possibly the worst game in mobile play history.

A new Snap-on brand ambassador?

I'm interested to understand why people buy those monthly packages, like Bespoke Post, Going Gear, Battlebox etc. Most of the products are mediocre and can be found in discount stores with different branding. Ah well. To each their own. But I'm still interested in why? Is it that feeling you get when your new parcel arrives and you get that Christmas feeling?
1
I'm considering jamming a 25000lb winch on the front of my 2x4 V6 Courier crewcab because I want to take it to nasty places. Maybe I'll settle for something smaller...

When I lived on a rural block (1800 acres) just North of a town/city in Australia, all the power lines in the area were three-phase (240 volt). The area was once mainly dairy farms but had changed to large cropping with circular boom sprinklers. Farms need a heavy-duty power supply and three-phase provides that. It's also arguably more dangerous than single phase but I wouldn't know. I'm not an electrician, just a local history buff. For the curious map nerds, here are the coordinates of the place I lived at for a while: -23.092590848466433, 150.3762654990398 Just paste that into Google maps and turn on the satellite layer.

Dudes and dudettes. I'm 58 years old and I grew up in the days of V8 muscle car grunt, thru to the 4-cylinder 1000 HP madness and on to electric vehicles. Electric vehicles are what speed nuts need. Instant power and torque. Zero lag if it's not controlled. My speed freeeeek friends, electrickery is the future of muscle cars. Sadly, old-school V8 thrump lovers like me will need to set up a sound system with V8 FX synced to the electric throttle to appreciate that power.

I grew up in an era when you could still buy 'rags' as opposed to Steel-belted radials. Or rags v radials.

The 4-rotor build is absolutely epic!

I am far more impressed with the camera car and the control of said camera car. That is a wikkid (as the young folk say) skeleton.
1
I have an an in-car coffee percolator from the 60s that plugs into your cigarette lighter and has a frame so you can hang off your window. Yes, this is a 12 volt coffee maker that hangs off your window. In its original box. Never used. I'm commenting at the 16-second mark, so I'm hoping my contraption is featured in this.
1
Gotta give at least a shoutout to Garage Idiots. I wide-body bug on an MR2 frame, a Miata kart, and a Corvette Jeep? What more could you ask for?

21:43 Forgive my ignorance, as I only saw a couple of the 2f2f franchises, but is that bloke the kid from Slingblade? 22:15 All good. Yes, it is the kid from Slingblade.
1
That was funny. I'm looking at mobile power packs so did the right thing and went to 'click on the link in the description'...yeah, nah. No link. I was just curious, so no biggie for me.
1
That was sheer car knowledge brilliance! We are not worthy...we bow before you...
1
People look at me in my crappy old 05 Ford V6 'truck' (it's just a ute here in Australia) because I rebuilt the suspension and brakes and it doesn't rattle anymore. Weird shit. It's like driving a new car...
1
Have you seen the Australian, 'Running on Empty'? Acting is a bit shit but there's a few nice cars in it. Or for something utterly bizarre, look for 'The Cars That Ate Paris', another Aussie classic(?) from the 70s. Finally, something truly 'interesting' is another Aussie movie from 1983, 'Midnite Spares'.

Pre-ordered the shirt to come to Australia. Pure Gold research.

Finish welding it together. They come partly assembled...
