  1. I'm 60 years old. When I was a young teen, my father, a mechanic and diesel fitter, bought me an old junker XP Falcon (early 60s). He said to me, "Before you work on the motor or interior, make sure you get new tyres (tires), brakes, and sort out the suspension. That'll keep you alive longer." I've rebuilt a few cars since then and always started with those steps.
