12:30 COUGH SPLUTTER COUGH COUGH SPLUTTER SPLUTTER...WTF? Oh, Ian. When you come to Australia, please let me introduce you to proper seafood? I will give you foodgasms.

Oh, and if you do get to Australia, I will get some kangaroo for you to try. Gamey, but very high in protein and low in fat.

@Apokalypse456 I've never tried Alligator. I'd assume crocodile is similar. Crocodile is very bland. It needs to marinate or have a good sauce. I wouldn't eat it again unless it was a survival situation. I prefer to see them in the wild. Much the same with Kangaroo. But I'd hunt kangaroo and wild pig if I was in the bush, rather than hike 150km to a store.

I knew an old Turkish bloke once who wouldn't buy fresh bread. He always asked the local baker to store a loaf or two for a few days for him. I've heard that a lot of old folk (like, older than me!) prefer to buy 'day old bread' from the bakery. Apparently healthy enzymes develop in the bread if it's allowed to stand for a day or so.

@sharg0 Interesting. I have problems with some breads nowadays. I have to choose wisely, lest I be woken in the middle of the night with an urgent need...and I live in a bus some 60 feet from my toilet...I've learned what bread brands and baking styles to avoid but have never studied the ingredients to figure out the culprit for my ...need to poo...

Good old Simon Whistler. He produces some great content.

@mum Hehehe. I sometimes queue a few 20-minute videos of his before I go to bed and listen to the dulcet tones of his voice as it lulls me to sleep. Weird. But hey, whatever helps this part-time insomniac sleep I'm good with.
