@35manning I'm old enough to have been wary of those new-fangled 'circuit breakers', thinking that a properly installed and fused porcelain contraption was safer than a fraction of a millisecond reaction device.

@wetcat833 Yep. Which is kinda why the regulations were changed. Using out-of-spec wire led to a few electrocutions over the years...lol

5:00 In the 70s, as a teenager, I used to go to a pool/billiards hall in 'The Valley' in Brisbane. it was in a basement...I always wondered how they got 20+ slate tables into the place...until years later when I realised there was a freight entrance behind the 'basement'. The land dropped steeply behind the building. Anyway, I always remember walking don the steps into the pool hall through a haze of smoke, then seeing clear air and all these huge tables...and signs everywhere stating 'NO SMOKING OVER THE TABLES' . And everyone obeyed that one rule. And god rest his soul anyone who left a smoke in their mouth while taking-a shot. Well, I always thought that if someone did, some mafioso-looking bloke would come out of the shadows, smash an 8-ball over the miscreants head and drag him up the stairs and out of that respected establishment. Man, that place had atmosphere.

9:35 I just horrifically realised that I'm wearing a pair of board shorts that look almost the same. Mine are Yellow with a red/silver/blue band around the waste. Annnd, they have a built-in the pocket waterproof sleeve and in the left pocket, a board comb! True god and I'd take a photo and post it for proof if I could.

11:20 An ancient form of recycling. back in the 1800s when I was a boy... Back in the 60s and 70s, when I was a boy, these mats were quite common. The rich people had the coir mats, made from coconut husk. Sometimes they'd have 'Welcome' painted on the mat...which would be ruined if any commoner with actual dirty feet wiped them on the mat. And yes, the povvo door mats shown were made from recycled materials. Tyres, wire, and coloured electrical conduit sheaths for the pretty separators. And, they were hand made besides the tools used to cut the rubber etc.

2:45 I remember the tables! I used to collect them...for no idea why! Probably because they looked like little tables...
