@stormygayle9388 Now you're just trying to pull someone's leg. There aren't too many habitated places here where it's 40+ for weeks. High 30s, yeah, but 40s aren't as common as you're spruiking.

Hey, Chris Bell. I really feel for you folks. I relate it to me trying to cope with a 2C Winter. I wouldn't cope well.

It's trippy. In the early 80s, a friend related a trip he did to Europe in the late 70s and they had a heatwave there where people died and the locals were swimming in the Trafalgar Square fountain. It was 23C. I really feel for folks in Europe suffering these (for them) extreme heat conditions. I can only come to grips with this by considering how I'd handle a Winter averaging 2C. I feel confident that one of two things would happen: 1: I'd stay inside in the warmth all Winter and go broke buying gas for my heater.. 2: I'd go outside for 20 minutes and die. I can't cope comfortably with 15C.

@JoannaHammond I feel bad for you, Joanna. I can deal with heat if I can go outside and be in some shade. But cold? Yeah, nah. I just freeze. eg, it's about 16C outside at 9pm here. I have an electric heater and a gas stove burning inside my bus to stay warm. Oh, and I have my boots, jeans, and shirt on, with a jacket, beanie and gloves on standby if i have to go outside. If it was summer, I'd be sitting here in shorts and not have to rug up to go outside LOL.

@solreaver83 Mate. I have lived and worked all over this island and no, it's not common. High 30s, yes. Forties, not so much.

Ian, based on recent years, I really fear the coming tornado season for folks in the US in that area. I also worry about the intensity of coming hurricanes and cyclones this season. The weather this year has so far been extreme all over the world. 40C in the Arctic! That is insane! 40C for weeks in Europe! Winter rains in Australia causing massive flooding when it is supposed to be dry. Wildfires planet-wide in the summer areas. Massive flooding in China and much of Asia. Climate Change is a given and people need to accept that and start adapting because if we don't, we'll all suffer. We lost our chance to reduce our pollution to help slow this, so we need to learn how to sleep in the bed we made.
