EDIT: Ian, I wrote this before I watched the video. I had to smile when I was listening to your reaction after posting it. When I first saw the rise in drift racing, I wrote it off as just a silly fad. I mean, what can you do by deliberately losing control of your car? But then I started to actually watch how it worked. These drivers sit on the extreme edge of control, more than in conventional racing. Traditional racing relies on tyre grip. This racing relies on being able to 'control' a vehicle that has essentially lost control. It's pretty damned special.
