  1. I have a theory. From what we see of US politics, decisions seem to be made in favour of which company's lobbyist has the deepest pockets. So I'm thinking that chemical companies, including Monsanto, who I believe owns patents on most of the corn grown in the US, spend a lot to ensure food and health scientist's warnings about unhealthy food additives are ignored by politicians. Just a thought. We have similar problems here in Oz.
