Here's something weird: I'm 58, and when I started school I was taught that 'Christopher Columbus' sailed West from Europe to prove the earth wasn't flat. I still remember imagining as my teacher told the story, of ships tipping off the edge of the world, and thinking how stupid people were in ancient (for me) history. A few years later, Apollo 11 happened and we saw pictures of the earth from space. Many years later I learned that the Columbus stories were bunkum and that people centuries before his time knew the earth was a globe. History repeats itself. Today there are a lot of people who believe the earth is flat. Stupid never disappears.

Ah, Simon Whistler. His team has a lot of channels but ALL of them are very interesting. And Simon has one of those voices that keep you interested.
