I've experienced one night in a similar environment with no way of repelling the bitey bugs other than a sleeping bag. I had to keep part of my face exposed so I could breathe. In the morning I discovered that during the minimal sleep patches I got, the mozzies had been on my eyelids. They were swollen to the point that I could barely open them. Yeah, nah.
