  3. In the 70s, we had a local warehouse-type grocery store here in Queensland called 'Franklins'. It was essentially a warehouse with stock in the bulk boxes. You had to write the price of the item on the packaging supplied Nikko pens. It was around half the price of regular supermarkets. They changed business model a few years later and eventually became a small-time supermarket business.
