  1. Righto then. Kununurra ... pronounce all the 'U's like nun. And, as a lad that's lived in remote communities and knows a little language from a couple of community clans, aboriginal language is really hard to pronounce from printed words.

  2. I lived up North close to an aboriginal community, Wujal Wujal. The town's welcome signs said: "Wujal Wujal A place so nice, you say it twice". But in the local language (Kuku Yalanji) it means 'many falls' or 'lots of water'. The area has many magnificent waterfalls and beautiful creeks and rivers in the rainforest.
