  1. 1:20 I want to comment now, but I have to discipline myself and wait for the full story...It appears to me that the upper echelons of the Chinese Government realised that their ideas of opening up free enterprise/capitalism for the people 18 odd years ago led to a situation where they thought they were losing control. Hence a graduated, yet forceful destruction of previous freedoms by the government that granted them. Your experience over the past 10 years also correlates with the paranoic attempted annexing of the South China sea by creating islands, and more recently the attempt to subvert the rights of Hong Kong citizens. On the flip side, that opening up of trade by China way back is why many US towns and cities have collapsed today. It happened here in Australia too. We manufactured everything from matches to TVs to cars and ships up til around the 80s when we started seriously internationally trading
