I would argue that the name 'Orwell' is more recognizable than 'Hemmingway'. My bias may be showing through with that statement.

I still remember (and I was 10 years old at the time) when the Australian Government approved the purchase of Pollock's 'Blue Poles', or 'No11 1952' for the Australian National Gallery. The price was 2 million dollars, which was an insane price in 1973. Today it is estimated to be worth over 100 million dollars.

I really enjoyed this one. I was a childhood Houdini fan (no, not when he was alive...) and over the years read or heard so many conflicting stories about his rise to fame. This has put it all together in a very viewable package. Thank you.

9:22 So is the Dashlane company being clever and techie or is their command of the English language a little rudimentary?

Bwahahaha! That was a funny phrase. Had me thinking of Frank Zappa songs.

I got interested in taxonomy when I was reading about pot as a young teen. The botanical books called it cannabis Sative (of L). I wanted to know what the hell 'of L' was. This was before the Intenet, so it was a book hunt. And then I fell down the rabbit hole of book collecting.

If I had the need (and the data allowance) to back-up my computer I would use Backblaze. However, I hotspot through a phone and only have a 150gig a month data allowance. That wouldn't cover my music collection (backed up vinyl etc etc yada yada)

The Pulitzer Prize just lost all respect for me. A better title may be, 'The Founder of Gutter Journalism and Paparazzi'.

Yeah, I dunno. It seems to me that career soldiers who prefer to fight, have a pathological need to kill other people but consider themselves too civilised to actually 'murder' someone in their neighbourhood. (Edit) However, I can't help but admire a person that lives their dream. It appears Adrian considered the whole war thing a big boy's adventure. Oh, and yes, I shared it.

My Aunty is/was (she's still alive) a complete Elvis and Engelbert Humperdink Groupie. I was born in the 60s, so I was around during the demise of Elvis, but by 1973 when I became interested in music, there was more than Elvis. He was past tense. I never got into his stuff other than his really early music. He is a legend though.

This was really interesting. On a side note, I had a mate in the 80s whose nickname was Frank Buck.
