  1. Great discussion, my overseas friend. I have tried hard to learn about the things I feared or didn't understand over the years. I find awareness and education to be far healthier than wilful ignorance. Nowadays, I try, with varying degrees of success, not to let my ideological biases blindly guide me. I tend to worry a little that our species' mistakes throughout history may be forgotten due to wilful and/or forced ignorance as we 'advance'. Anyway, thanks for letting me ponder this subject in my head for a while.

  3. Hi Rachael. Umm, I commented on your latest video, then decided to check out some more of what you uploaded. I clicked on this one. And ... That first piece of advice? I told my children that from a young age. You brought a tear to my eye. Thank you.

  5. Our thoughts can manifest into our realities. And often, we do that without realising it, until those thoughts (negative or positive) become our reality or lived experience.

  6. In August of 2011, after suffering headaches and becoming incontinent almost overnight, She was diagnosed with a very aggressive glioblastoma. As much of the tumour was removed in an operation less than a week later. She began to improve. Sorry, not She. My most beautiful soulmate's name was Tina. Anyway, in early October, she began having seizures, so we returned to our hone town to be with her children. She passed away on the 20th October, just on 2 months after her diagnosis. Since then I have had the lowest of lows, the highest of highs, but still live with the grief of her loss. I am getting better, 14 years on. I think.

  7. I stopped 'living' when I lost my soulmate to an aggressive glioblastoma (brain cancer). That was 14 years ago. I really need to live again.

  9. @SimplyResilientMe  Thank you. I think they're happy with their current life journeys. They're good 'kids'. Two in their 40s, one fast heading into her 30s.

  11. @SimplyResilientMe  I learned some time ago that the loss will never go away. But it's my loss. My grief. I don't need to project that to others. Well, other than letting them know my past if it needs to be told. After 14 years, I'm learning how to live again.

  12. 3:32 Back in the days of blogging, and chat rooms (IRC etc) before YouTube became the place to create, I would always clarify the definition of ignorant if I called someone that word. Many people would misconstrue what I wrote and think I was calling them stupid, and sometimes, arrogant, weirdly.
