@MrBuggsBunnyPT You apparently don't understand what a scientific theory is. Both evoultion and the big bang have evidence behind it. All you're giving me is "look at nature". Nature is only proof of the world's existence. Evolutionary biologists disagree with you.
There isnt, but statistically speaking, there probably was a man named Jesus. That I don't deny. I believe a man named Jesus probably went around preaching. I do not believe in anything other than that. Miracles don't exist to me. Also, no there isn't. The only "evidence" for his miracles was a book written decades after he died.
Continue to believe you have found evidence. It doesnt make you right. You are using a fallacy called confirmation bias. The bible is truth? Demonstrate that. How do you know the Bible is true? You are wrong. You are stating a belief as fact.
The rules we live by only pertain to us. We have no way of knowing how laws of physics work outside of it. You just don't understand how physics work. My whole point was that laws don't exist. So for all you know, the universe did just "come from nothing"
The Bible has never been proven to be anything other than a fairytale. Many historians who used the Bible at one time later found out they were wrong, because the Bible is full of scientific inaccuracies and lies. Christianity is dying. More and more people are turning away from religion, or following religion in a secular light. As people go up the education ladder, they become more agnostic and atheists.
You were predisposed to religion. You haven't found anything. You found what you believe to be God. And theres no issue with that. Once again, yes they do. Catholics are the largest sect of Christianity. There are 14,000 denominations.
Of course you are. That doesn't mean they are. They are your beliefs. People have been saying that for millennia, and it's still unfounded. Again, there is no documentation during that time of how they died. It was written decades after. I'm not lazy. I'm intellectually honest enough to say that a belief in something should be withheld until evidence is presented. Correction: I don't NEED a God to tell me what I can and cannot do. I'm a good person to my fellow man. That's all that should matter to him if he exists.
I'm not being ignorant. You're being intellectually dishonest and biased.

IssyFishyy What about Psalms, Exodus, and Numbers? All three of these chapters acknowledge other Gods.
Hell, In Deuteronomy 4:19 the Israelites are forbidden from worshipping “the sun, the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven . . . [which] Yahweh your god has allotted to all the peoples everywhere under heaven.” In other words, they were told not to worship other gods, not because those gods did not exist, but because they were supposed to rule other peoples, not Israel.
The Bible straight up acknowledges other Gods. But these Gods were themselves created by Yaweh, which is why he should be worshipped.

Raa16 Yes, I would. And there is no evidence. You see things you cannot reasonably explain, and thus "must be God". This is called a "God of the Gaps fallacy". Just because you cannot explain it, or it has yet to be explained, does not mean God did it.
Most atheists are also agnostics. In fact, I personally don't know any atheists who are not agnostic. If you could show them evidence of a God, they would believe in one. They may call them evil (for instance, if the God of the Bible is true, then I personally consider that God to be evil), but they will believe.
It is you who is ignorantly misrepresenting atheists dishonestly.
No, its just simply a) God is real and just, so I go to "Heaven". b) God is real, but is a morally bankrupt tyrant, in which case I would never want to spend an eternity with them. Or c) God does not exist. I win in all of these scenarios.

Raa16 I don't know why that's so difficult for you to believe. I'm an atheist because I see no evidence of a God. Nothing more.
The earliest person who was mentioned in the Bible that we have record for was King David. And even if some parts of the Bible are historical, that doesn't make the whole thing true. Because we have proved several things of the Bible false.
I don't know. What have you seen that you claim is evidence for a God? And how does it not make sense. Just because we don't know an answer does not mean we should jump to God. That is ridiculous.
You can literally read through comments and stories. You can Google statistics.
No, because I recognize the category difference between a coloquial atheist and a philosophical (or gnostic) atheist. These people should really be called anti-theists. These are the people who claim a God does not exist. I've personally never met an atheist like this, other than online.
I can support it to the people I know. And I can support for myself personally.
I never claimed there aren't irrational atheists. There are. Oh and, the Bible does not paint your God in a pretty light. I'm sorry, but if the Bible is true, your God is evil. Period.
No, I wouldn't lose. Because living in a "Hell" would be infinitely better than living with a tyrant. I don't personally believe in an afterlife, so whether or not I get into Heaven is irrelevant. If God is all loving and forgiving, and an afterlife exists, then I do get into heaven.

@lily824 Then you must not believe in the Bible because taken literally, that's exactly what God says, if the Bible is Gods word.
I don't, and have never, believed humans are innately good. We're neutral and then, in relative terms, become good or evil based on our decisions.
The Bible also teaches you to hate and belittle those who do not believe the way you do.
I am not spreading hate. I told the original commenter where my morality comes from. How you equate that with hatred is your problem.
I have read the Bible. It's a violent, abhorrent disgusting book. If you haven't seen that, you're either biased and only reading what you want to read, or you haven't read it.
He wants a pur peaceful world? No hon. He wants people to convert everyone and worship him like a goddamn dictator. He's supposedly omnipotent, so he could have a pure peaceful world if that's really what he wanted.
