@MsWitchHazel666 Yeah of course. And your still entitled to your opinion. She just tends to try and be super sarcastic, and I think that can come off as cringy to some. But she's super insightful and doesn't glorify the prison lifestyle.

You can be punished without being denied basic human rights. Prison originally was meant for reform, not to destroy people.

That's literally not what anyone is saying. The truth is that they ARE human, and deserved their prison time. They just don't deserve to be treated like animals both inside and out of prison. Its why we have such high recidivism rates.

They don't deserve what basically amounts to torture because they made a poor decision. These people aren't serial killers. You shouldn't lose basic human rights just because you commit a crime.

No one is glorifying the fact that they're a convict. They're glorifying the fact that their lives have turned around, and prison helped make them who they are. They aren't proud of their crimes. They're proud of the people they became.

@wickedworld5500 I have seen people land 60 days in county for one unpaid parking ticket, so do not say it can't happen. It does, even if not very often. Jaywalking ia a crime. Speeding is a crime. We've all done it. The point is some make awful decisions that cost them. At the end, they're still people and should be given tools to do better. Not tortured in a cell.
