You won't be able to stop your children. Even if you remove internet/phone. Best thing is to educate and monitor. There is no safer environment than your own home. Denying them, will only lead to a pattern of your kids lying to you and accessing the same material at others places.

I'm so tired listening to naïve commentary about parenting. ANYBODY that believes they can prevent a child accessing internet content is delusional. Best way is to allow and inform and monitor.

@msKita43 Of course it's the fault of the app. They encourage kids to do challenges, one challenge is to black out?! Yes that is inappropriate content and the app should have clamped down on that trend.

@purple9533 You're incredibly naïve if you think you can stop your kids doing something everyone else is doing. I don't know what YOU are trying to do.. But if it's "sound like an idiot" then you're nailing it 🤦♂ And when you're trying to climb onto your high horse of utter ignorance, then the least you could do is make sure you use the correct "your/you're" when using a condescending tone or you don't only sound like an idiot, you also look like one. Peace x

@sapphirelane1714 Ok.. Bit extreme. Probably the right thing for most in this comments section though. Kids will wrap these naïve people right round their butter wouldn't melt little fingers. 🤷♂🤦♂

Everybody in the comments blaming the parents are either NOT a parent themselves, or are delusional and have no idea what their children are doing. I hope this family NEVER read your ignorant/delusional comments. Peace x

@hannahlou3406 That is naïve 🤷♂ Both my kids had seen tik tok before they were 13. I used to stop them but it becomes an impossible task and the more you try to stop them the more they'll seek it out. Luckily I can have good conversations with my kids and so I know what they are doing on there. And because I allow it, I have access to their devices so I can monitor it.

@AmberTurdsShittyBedsheet And when they go to their friends who have phones? Or school where everyone has phones. I'm not excusing any of this. Just words of wisdom from an actual parent living in the real world.
