Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequence ✊

Why? Not the apologising bit, but why so proud? I used to feel the same but lately I don't see much to be proud about. I haven't understood nationalism for a long time 🤔 Please refresh my nationalistic vigour.

It's all about context. The vital ingredient missing here. In what context do you use the statement "Rule Britannia"? Do you say it before leaving the house to go to work? "Bye wife. Rule Britannia!" Also don't get triggered folks. This is NOT saying that being proud to be British is against the law ffs.....

@durhamfox5271 YOU accidently deleted your post before posting it fool. Even if the OP deletes your comment from the video , everybody else can still see it.. Unless it was reported and judged as unread worthy then it's great we were spared the foolishness 😆

@deanok306 Thankyou. Is there anything to be proud of in the last decade or 2? Slavery was the big one we achieved as a nation of people and is something we can all be proud of (apart from the individuals personally involved in the trade.). Most achievements aren't what I'd class as a nations pride. Taking credit for the invention of the internet etc is an individuals pride and seems a bit disingenuous for an entire nation to claim as their own..

@harrydrake4173 Then freedom comes at a cost and people should defend that right. Not use their right to cause negative consequences, and then cry about it. If you're unwilling to take responsibility for what comes out your mouth then you shouldn't be free to use it..

Any abuses of free speech are just that and should be therefore exempt from free speech. So racism (against ALL races even including white people), hate speech (against ALL people such as homosexuals, disabled and even including heterosexual men) and I'd also add deliberately REPEATING a lie. Freedom of speech should be protected from abuse. Are you arguing to protect the rights of paedophiles to say stuff about your kids..? We should all be willing to take responsibility for what falls out of our mouths and take our freedom to voice opinion or objection seriously. If you commit a crime then there will be consequences.
