@barryevans791 Roma is an ethnic group of a race. They are Indo-Aryan. But we've already established that race is irrelevant here. So ... Here is the question: Is culture relevant to this riot?

@barryevans791 My opinion is that these individuals don't represent their race or culture anymore than football hooligans represent mine. Therefor, both race and culture are completely irrelevant to the discussion. I'd stick to criticising the actions of the people involved, the parents, the kids and the police. I have zero interest in criticising Roma as an ethnic group. Unless you're right and it is part of their culture. There being roughly a million Roma living in the UK, you'll have to present millions of examples of these people expressing their culture through riot. Seem rational enough? 🤷‍♂

@barryevans791 But if a vast majority of the ethnic group commit zero crime and cause zero problems, then it isn't rational to focus on the negative minority. But even if it was 90% of the ethnic group that commits crime, then it still can't be because of their race or culture, or 100% would be doing it. So there must be other factors. 🤷‍♂

@TheWhitehawker If that's important to you then ok.. But I'm using it to describe groups of white people that form communities in foreign countries. The length of time an individual spends there is irrelevant to me. Most only come back in coffins, and the community they leave behind doesn't dissipate when they leave. An expatriate is still a migrant. More importantly, the white expatriate makes zero attempt to learn the language or culture or traditions of their host nation.
