In a May 2022 BBC article covering the Jerusalem Flag March, the report initially included a line stating that a group of Israeli marchers were “shouting ‘Death to Arabs’” at Damascus Gate, and that a BBC crew was attacked. Within about an hour, that line—and another about the crew’s attack—were removed as the BBC updated the piece. The next day, BBC reinstated the mention of the chants and the assault, adding a clarification note that abusive chants and threats “have been included ... to give a fuller picture”

  2. I think it is actually a fair point to mention conscription in the IDF. But when we hear the chant, we don't think of "nice" members of the IDF, we are directed to hate the IDF that murder children and people queuing for aid. So the chant isn't aimed at all of the IDF. The messaging was clearly against the genocide committed by the IDF. It is also not anti-Semitic as Israel doesn't represent all Jews. There are plenty Jews, if not more Jews living outside of Israel that aren't made to join the IDF.
