If you're a patient on a long waiting list, Reform are suggesting a voucher to spend on private health care.. But why not give that money to the NHS, and help lower waiting times?

@michaelmayo3127 Then invest and pay for more staff and hospitals, instead of giving our money to private health providers that don't need it.

@jschreiber6461 Then whilst increasing funding we should also sack those not doing their jobs and introduce the private contractors to a competitive market.

@jackoh991 We weren't offered any private health care at the cost of the NHS. We waited 3 years. Whilst others paid around £3000 to go private and received a diagnosis within a couple of weeks.

@ElaineSutton-sv5og The use of the word voucher is the red flag. Giving money to those that can afford private health care anyway. If there's ANY money lying around, it should be directly invested in the NHS.

@jschreiber6461 Of course the issue is funding. The problem with the NHS is the out sourcing of services etc to private companies that don't face a competitive market.
