@ Let's reform it to just 100 members, each member being a fully qualified expert with working experience in a particular field, and scrap hereditary peers.

@michaelmacdonell4834 Over 75% of countries with a second chamber have one with 100 or less members. The UK's is around 800. It could so easily be reformed to an actual working chamber full of valued people with expertise. Remove all 24 bishops. Remove all 88 hereditary peers. Reduce the other 700 to around 100.
