@Nickle314 If the public should get a vote on such a complex issue as remaining part of a European trade group, then we should get referendums on everything. Like the house of lords, proportional representation, minimum wage, regulating rent etc etc. People that say terms like "the left" don't want that though do they?

@Nickle314 No you're right. these topics are too complicated for the lay person. On the other hand, EVERYBODY is an expert on European law, economics and global trade deal details. I mean how complicated could it be right?

@Nickle314 Like any nation pays for anything else, via taxation. Close the tax loop holes for the rich, increase disposable income, get people spending more. You're right that was an easy question. Peace x

@perfectstorm7379 There's a big difference between being "thick" and not possessing relevant knowledge. I only hear the term "left" being used to dismiss valid points of opinion. This is supposed to stop debate, which of course it doesn't, so I think it is the device of a stupid person imo. None of the parties are worth my vote, but voting tory is stupid in the same way being selfish and short sighted is stupid. If you base your political views on what you read in the gutter press then you are stupid imo. Peace x

@Nickle314 Minimum wage doesn't work but it's here to stay and therefore should be higher or at least reflect the living wage.. It takes away the value of the employee. There is no competition in the work place. I remember when the top factory jobs were given to the best/hardest workers. Providing an incentive. Now all the jobs pay the same and so it doesn't matter if I work harder than the next man. And also minimum wage is lower than a living wage as judged by the government leading to poverty in full time employment. Peace x

@perfectstorm7379 I said IF you believe the gutter press.. And In MY experience, when somebody uses the term "left" it is used dismissively. Nice try though. I consider myself to be left of center and I'm not shutting down debate so there's evidence you're wrong again.. And if a YouTuber deletes a comment it is still visible for everybody else to read, unless it goes against YouTube's terms and conditions so blame YouTube if your silly comments are deleted. And saying the word "peace" takes you back how many years?! This intellect that you have self proclaimed has yet to rear its ugly head.. Peace x

@Nickle314 I agree with investment strategies to maximise a countries taxes but I would like to see restrictions on what it can be invested in. Wasn't it Norway that did something similar with their oil reserves? I think they sold the rights to pump oil and invested the money. And they live off the interest. I could be wrong though..

@perfectstorm7379 A YouTube comment is still visible unless it has been reported, then it's hidden until investigation deems it acceptable. There's no way you can argue the way you do and also have been any significant age during the 60s.. Anyway.. With logic like yours, I can see why you think you're not thick. Peace x

@perfectstorm7379 My apologies. It appears you are correct. An uploader can delete any comments he/she likes. This may explain why I get zero response to "awkward" questions I've asked on other channels in the past lol. This is worrying.. I would prefer a system of reporting and review otherwise all channel's subscribers live in echo chambers. I'm 100% sure the left prefer more dialogue than the right leaning channels as the right are filled with righteous snowflakes that can't handle the truth 😆
