I agree. I'm pleasantly surprised. I think this is the best trade deal brexit Britain has made since leaving the EU. This is the first time we've had ANY leverage as trump so desperately needs to spin a win on something. He needed this trade deal to succeed as badly as we did. And we didn't budge on a single UK standard. Imagine the farage deal... We'd be a vassal state of America already. ONLY American products for sale. 🙄🙄

I don't see how this deal undercuts the UK at all. I think this is a good deal for the UK. Can you even imagine a trade deal we'd get from farage?! Where do you see the black eyes from trump? 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂

@HALLish-jl5mo I was extremely happy with VAT, human and workers rights and everything else being secured by numerous nations rather than have ANYTHING in the hands of the UK government. I wanted the opposite to sovereignty.

@RPaton Because the UK left themselves without a trade deal to negotiate trade deals with countries that already had trade deals. Dealing with trump is the closest we've been to having leverage since brexit.

The far right constantly play mental gymnastics. They're used to being told which way the wind is blowing. They hate migrants coming over 'ere getting free handouts and at the same time, they hate migrants coming over 'ere stealing arr jobs. And at the same time they refuse to support any move that allows a refugee to work whilst waiting to be processed. They constantly cry about how their culture isn't being maintained by migrants whilst they also want others to completely sacrifice their own culture.

@ab-ym3bf So if I can't read the official content of their trade talks, then how are YOU so amazingly informing yourself. You were there? But pray tell how you "accept some beef" without a trade agreement?? And why admit that without mentioning that we have negotiated away from hormone beef and chlorinated chicken, which is what anyone following these trade talks was most concerned about? Enough crying. Who would you have in no.10 to handle this better and what would YOU have negotiated for Britain?
