Both sides are free to do what they feel is right. What s the problem?
21
China doesnt sell cars to America. What it does sell to America is significantly owned by American companies. Tariffs are just tax on US companies and consumers. If that s what it takes to bring unattrative jobs back to America, then so be it. But dont kid yourself that this is some kind of short cuts to american prosperity.
18
Permanent change. That s the key.
18
Wrong question surely. No one could Tell at this stage. The side claiming victory IS the side feeling nervous.
15
China Russia Japan. Alliance between any 2 of the 3 would be terrifying as far as our American overlord is concerned.
12
Please elaborate. He is in public. U r hiding in the dark. The burden of proof is on u.
11
Why cancer research? Surely u cannot weaponise cancer cure? I dont get it

Making Mexico poorer and creating more unemployment would make the migrant and drug problem worse. A large failed state IS not what u want at your border.

40 years of market based self-selection IS not easy to undo. Most 3rd world shitholes can't do anything other than begging and prostitution. That s why so much of the world's supply chains habe been shifted to China. Undoing that would take a huge amount of costs and ingenuity, which the current administration frankly does not possess. But well done for trying.
8
Rememebr the Bloomberg story on Red China spy Chips on server mother boards last summer? False and yet not withdrawn nor apology... IS this from the same 'journalists' and their FBI/CIA sources?
7
Dont shoot the messenger. He s right. And that s the best case. Downside is social upheval and war.
6
70 years of self-deluding propaganda against the PRC has created this mess. Yet the response to a reality that is not to her liking is to double up on self-delusion. As long as American strategy is not based on facts, the PRC will keep forging ahead.
6
Usually the hysterical side calling for 'total' or 'final' solution is the side feeling frustrated, insecure and badly in need of a quick solution.
6
It s called the path of least resistance. People follow easy ways to make money. And in the current System, everyone is practically forced to make money the 'easy' Way. Lol
5
The centre of gravity of world commerce had always been in Asia, until the early 1800s. If China keeps rising and becomes an accepted part of Asia (atm it is not, by an American led Asia), then the shift back to Asia is inevitable.
5
Used to use Eurasia in London. This world s got to Make them more busy. Jesus. How things change. America IS systmatically destroying its soft power, which IS its real power (all that military power IS useless in this modern small integrated world). American softpower, at its best, is irresistable. It s not too late yet America.
5
Any deal would buy chicom's china enough time to get to the top. This IS going to break the heart of many. Life s tough indeed for the perennial chicom/China haters.
5
He says the market assumes that. And that s the correct read. Whether Market IS rigjt or not IS another issue. And he s suggesting it is not. So Next time listen to what people say before u hurl ideological accusations. That s exactly what those yellow Chinese Red Guards did. So many americans r turning into those, regardless of skin or ideological colour.
4
@drews0n = mindless parrot getting his daily platittude fix
4
What Deal. Truce at best. Both sides are just buying time. Cold war has been declared.
4
Kevin Mas= unhinged weirdo screaming clichés to feel human
3
Left right who cares. He s a popular brazilian politician. Enough said. More chaos. More class wars. More genocide of the young and poor. More enviornemntal depredation. On and on and on.
3
Well 70 years of Tech ermbargo hasnt really stopped Chicom. If u want to ruine/control someone, make her/him dependent on u. That s the way to do it. Forcing Chicom to be self-reliant has never worked and still wont work
3
@libertarianPinoy : mindlessly repeating buzz words dont Make them true.
3
Lol. Brain washing is so easy.
3
Demand depends on price. Simple as that. Tech house of cards would collpase without the Chinese/east Asians in General lowering costs year in year out for the world.
3
more criminals stuck there more fees
3
It s easy. Jsut stop buying anything with Chinese stuff in it. Dont wait for the president sheeple.
3
u r wasting your breath.
3
Re election assured.
3
Evil? Oh dear. Debating with 12 year olds.
3
Lol. Screaming Like a little red yellow Chinaman waving little red books.
3
What do u offer exactly?
3
Well, compromise seems impossible.
3
Companies sue each others all the time on IP infringement and theft. How many of those thousands of cases each year in the last 3 decades habe involved Chinese companies? Anyone knows? My Impression IS that it is nothing remarkable. People chant theft but dont sue. I wonder why
3
SMu= typical anti-chicom yellow chinaman, all mouth and no trousers
3
@Aslam Kasimov :1949: US population=150mil, Life Exp=mid 60s China population=400 mil, Life Exp=mid 30s Now: China pop=1300 mil, Life Exp=mid 70s, with longer healthy span than US (WHO report) Anyone can scream empty slogans. It s cheap and free. But they dont change reality.
3
Lol. That hasnt been any real capital formation for years in the West. Where have these guys been?
3
Show evidence. That s all.
2
St James place? U dont work there if u know how to make money. Though to be fair, most CIOs don't.
2
U r projecting. Much of what u said there describe Western ruling elite and the futility and frustration felt by voters these days. Meanwhile, some facts: Chicom is 100 years old. PRC is 70. 1949: US population=150mil, Life Exp=mid 60s. China population=450 mil, Life Exp=mid 30s Now: China pop=1400 mil, Life Exp=mid 70s, with longer healthy life span than US (WHO report). Infant mortatliy dropped from 240/1000 to 8/1000 in the Same period. Literacy rate also now almost 100% from 20% in 1949. Which non-western shitholes do not mass produce refugees/asylum seekers/desperate migrants that flood the West? Chicom's China. Instead they send annoying but high spending tourists (100 mil+ per year), students and investors with money. And most importantly they go back home! Unlike the desperados from all these 'free' shitholes that screw the West every which way twice.
2
Lol. Cry Baby bullshit. The truth is regime change has always been what America wants in China. Am not saying whether that s right or wrong. No value judgement. But if that s always the underlying aim, then surprise surprise u got a paronoid and defensive Chicom
2
Third world shitholes can't organise a piss up in a brewery. They have had 50+ years to prove themsleves. Never managed. Logistics is everything in the real world. Multinationals with trillions at stake are not stupid. If they could have they would have.
2
Trump the day trader...well played
2
The question is juvenile and a reflection of the mentality that has given us the war on terror and endless wins in MENA.
2
Of course.
2
Risk? It already is
2
The usual tripe from a delusional meglomaniac. As paper tiger goes, it seems to habe taken the combined might of the USA and friends well over 70 years to try to destroy it....and still getting no where with it. This is reminiscent of the days when Chicom kept calling America paper tiger AT the same time as begging for help from it. I guess this particular human trait is pretty universal.
2
Tail wagging the dog
2
To many in the world, including the 3rd world, not just in America, it s not about economics. It s a kind of 'how dare they?' issue , as in 'how dare these jumped up chinaman act above their station?' In China, we ve found the ultimate scapegoat/bogeyman and pinata rolled into one.
