  2. Rubbish. Firstly, wasabi is like spices, herbs or fine tea. U dont eat them by weight. By weight, a lot of such food stuff can be comparable to gold, always been true. 2ndly, japanede Cousine comes from a tradition of scarcity (poverty) developed in cold islands with little scale agriculture...so if half starved poor peasants managed it...it s not intrinsically expensive. The gloss put on things like this and a lot of japanese food materials IS pure modern bullshit and marketing. Pure unadulterated steaming manure.

  3. Yep. Also looks bad the 'real' stuff. We have a fetish about 'real'. A lot of real traditional cousine is peasant food. Neither tasty nor healthy a lot of the times.
