Infant mortatliy dropped from 240/1000 to 8/1000 in the Same period.  Literacy rate also now almost 100% from 20% in 1949. What's India's record from independence? Am sure it's still impressive but not as good? Live and let live. No need to be rude to others without provocation. It s a sign of insecurity (quite an Asian disease).

In fact accountability IS pretty brutally done in the Chinese tradition...why do u think they ve had such a long run as a political and cultural entity?   9. I get the Stress Reduction part. And it is valuable. But when things come for free, human nature is such that IT DOESNT VALUE IT. Anyone denying that is a liar or doesnt know him/herself. Finland experimented with it and had to stop it (cause it cost too much without showing enough promised benefits). The Person receiving the benefit somehow has to be invested in this and has to feel it has cost something (time or effort) and has something to lose. It s human nature...remember? That s what derailed the beautiful idea of communism?
