I often wonder why we r so suspicious of elected tax funded publically accountable institutions, but give a free pass and fawn after unaccountable individuals with enormous power over every aspect of our lives. Are we just deluded fools? It s OK if competition works but now Big corporations and Big capital are so all powerful that they are able to extract and protect any economic rent they fancy.
