Infant mortatliy dropped from 240/1000 to 8/1000 in the Same period. Literacy rate also now almost 100% from 20% in 1949.

@indigocolossus u talk AS if industrialisation happens by itself. As the world's many many perpetual shitholes demonstated in the last 70 years, it aint easy. Give credit where credit IS due. No one s perfect. Am not into Black and white Stuff. The world s far more complicated than that. And it s ofen about who s less bad. I know what is less bad. China/chicom IS less bad than what s going on in MENA, large parts of Asia (south/south east), parts of LatAm and Africa, although Africa has been improving a lot in the last 15 years.
