@samzen9031 Yeah, but again, none of this explains why Sam shouldn't debate her, or Jimmy Dore, or why it should depend on who he's debating at all, quite frankly. If he's so confident, it shouldn't matter. And so long as we're supposed to automatically assume that the people who refuse to debate Sam are doing it out of cowardice, I think the rule should be applied equally. ETA: Also, I think Gavin specifically said he would stay out of it. Not sure though.

@nethidon The point is that if we can just assume that anyone who doesn't want to debate Sam Seder, David Pakman, etc. is refusing because they're scared, then we can do the same when it comes to them refusing to go on Gavin's show. To hold your favorite YouTubers to a different standard is just to show bias.

I think in light of your cowardice about going on Gavin McInnes' show, you should erase all your videos about "fear" Sam.

@samzen9031 I watched the video; Sam flat-out refused. He wanted to debate someone very specific and when that fell through, he rejected the offer altogether. Wouldn't even agree to debate Jimmy Dore or Ann Coulter.

@samzen9031 1. Sam refused a debate with them. If Coulter were to reject it, that would be on her, but instead it's on Sam. 2. It shouldn't matter if they've debated before; if Dore was willing, and Sam has been going on and on about how people should debate him, there's no reason not to do it. Especially if you're going to get paid handsomely for your time. and 3. Gavin is still going strong. This whole idea of "not wanting to legitimize" him is a bunch of bull.

Yeah yeah, I've heard that excuse too. But the problem is that Gavin is revived and isn't a toxic figure (if he ever really was). And the point is just that if we can ignore the reasons Dave Rubin and others give for why they won't debate/dialogue with Sam, Ana Kasparian, David Pakman, etc. to insist that it's cowardice, the same rules can be applied to Sam not going on Gavin's show.

@jayncoclassic Well then you can't have it both ways. Either we can automatically attribute everyone's refusal to debate particular people to "chickening out", or we shouldn't be doing it at all.
