Everyone saying "They should've called the police" is hilarious. If you would run at a civilian who has a gun drawn, why wouldn't you respond to the "evil raayyycist cops!!" the exact same way? 😂

@gatorage850 Exactly. But more to the point, if someone has a gun, you shouldn't run toward them. That's bound to lead to you getting shot!

@dranev Thanks, I'll do that.

@blackhercules1753 Ideally, yes, he would have trusted a cop more. But "they're not going to hurt you" is hardly what young blacks (especially men) are being told about cops, so it's perfectly possible that Arbery would've rushed a cop just the same. Indeed, if you're willing to run at a strange civilian who has a gun, why wouldn't you do the same for a cop? After all, they're trained to take people down in other ways, tase them rather than shoot them, etc. You might get further and incur less injury.

Do you know that for sure, or are you just guessing? Also, how many of the white people ran at them while they had a gun drawn?

So again, do we know they didn't confront anyone else? And I don't think anyone's saying that Arbery should've died because he went to that house. I don't even think he should have died for running at someone who had a gun. But it is what happens if you do that. And any white person who buys the narrative that this was about racism, feel free to run at the next person you see holding a gun and see how that turns out for ya ;)

@Bhubnipz I notice you added "and then pointing it at them" there... Anyway, seriously, don't run at someone if they're holding a gun. That's the most important lesson to learn from this incident (and of course the lesson no one will learn).

@trenthudson9663 Well said. And even if there was audio of them threatening him verbally, he had the option of continuing to run (or even just walk) away, possibly to someone else and even call the cops on them. I can't help but think that the current narrative that the cops are racist and out there "hunting down" black people might've played a role in why he didn't though. So IMO, some of the guilt for this is on the same woke BLM types we're dealing with here. They've successfully convinced young black men that they might as well struggle with the cops (or whoever else) because if they don't they'll just get murdered.

@Applecider-Poetry I can tell you my reaction wouldn't be to run at them.

@discoveringdionne Or just kept jogging, gone to someone else's house and called the police on them, almost anything would've been better than what he did.
