@jestapath7373 Well it's far from established that the vaccines will do more good than harm. Keep in mind they are all in their experimental phase, and the CDC admitted over a year ago that they were reporting on Covid with fake numbers (concerning both cases and deaths). But in any case, the "desperation" is just that some people will struggle to afford college. They are also hesitant or flat-out refusing to get the vaccine. So bribing them with free tuition to get that vaccine is a textbook case of taking advantage of that desperation. And BTW, I would see it this way even if I personally thought everyone should get the vaccine. It still wouldn't be right to manipulate people in that way.

I'm fine with a vaccine being provided for those who really think they need it. But let's stop pretending the numbers aren't fake already.

@andreicapi3535 There's no such thing as being educated "in vaccines". We can only be educated about each individual vaccine. And with the Covid vaccines, they are all in their experimental phase; literally no one knows what will happen to those who've gotten it long-term. Couple this with the fact that they're using fake numbers to report on Covid (cases and deaths), and it's perfectly reasonable to reject this particular vaccine. Indeed, once you know the truth, there isn't much reason for most people to get it, but it's a free country (or should be).

Agreed. I used to be about as anti-Trump as anyone else, but the way people got to lying about him and misrepresenting him made me take a second look. The antics from CNN, MSNBC, Hollywood, and now the social media giants made me a Trump support for life!

@sere971 The point is that no one (including you, the media, and the doctors who recommend the vaccine) knows what's going to happen long-term to the people who get the vaccine. This is precisely why they made sure they wouldn't be legally or financially responsible in the event something does go wrong, because they really don't know if something will or how bad it could be if something does.

@sere971 So what are the numbers concerning those risks? And are they also padded, like the numbers concerning Covid cases and deaths in general? Meanwhile, no one can honestly label the vaccine as "generally safe" yet; it's still far too early in the process. So it's still a matter of taking an experimental vaccine to ward off a virus whose threat is greatly exaggerated. And at the end of the day, as I said before, I would oppose manipulating people in these ways even if I personally thought everyone should get the vaccine. People should be free to choose for themselves which risks they want to assume. Make an exception for this, and try to force it; then there's no fundamental guard to keep anything and everything from being forced later "for our own good".

@MsM1975 Well insults never mattered to me, all I cared about was whether he could do the job. I think he handled Covid quite well, too, especially with things like the travel ban which the Democrats (including Biden) criticized him for and opposed. They spent the first part of it talking about how it wasn't that big a deal and then acted like he was wrong to do the same afterward (but what else is new). And how was he acting "childish" about the election being rigged? He was just saying what most of us were thinking. I think people need to make up their minds if they want their politicians to be real or fake, quite frankly. Finally, our children shouldn't be looking to politicians or any other public figure for how to act. That's our job, as parents, to teach them that.

"This was Trump's first Political job, you can't run a Country the same as a TV show or business" Actually, much of the job of president is like running a business. And IIRC Trump studied Economics which was reflected in his policies and that's why they tended to work. "I saw children at his rallies-" Okay? "he's not Presidential- that first debate? Terrible behavior-" Yeah, again, I'm not worried about whether he plays nice with the other politicians. Especially those who want to call him a xenophobe for implementing travel bans (and then of course do the same exact thing themselves once they're in office). "the last election young people were involved, if they see the President of the United States acting a fool, they will think it's ok-" Lol, if your kid is watching politics to determine how to treat people, you need to step in and stop letting strangers on TV raise them for you. "what do you do, tell them to look away?" Depends. But most of the time these are teaching opportunities. You don't shield your kid away from everything (depending on age), you talk to them about what is/isn't acceptable behavior. Again, you raise them, not the politicians. And you'd do well to be more mindful of the "cool" people on TV, if anyone. Your singers, actors, etc. I always laugh when people wanna talk about Trump's behavior in light of "the children", then say absolutely nothing about Cardi B.

I mean, Trump actually kicked Epstein out of his club once for hitting on someone's underage daughter. So there's more verifiable evidence that Trump didn't fit in with that crowd.

The reason that some of Bernie's people got mad about the endorsement was because they've developed this habit of insisting that everyone agree with them on every little issue. Joe doesn't agree with trans "women" competing against biological women (at least not without full disclosure on what's going on). He's also pro-gun, anti-censorship, anti-SJW outrage mob, etc. So it makes sense they'd get mad about him in particular.

And to echo a question others have already asked, how is me not getting a vaccine putting others at risk? Since the vaccine is supposed to prevent the spread (to and from), it still doesn't seem to be anyone else's business whether or not I've gotten the jab.

@thegreatone582 Much of what you're saying is incoherent. What exactly are you accusing Trump of? And where's the evidence that the numbers are being faked in all the other countries? Because so far, we've only heard from our own reporting agencies (e.g., that they count non-Covid deaths as "Covid deaths" and a Covid diagnosis might only mean you recently had a cold).
