@미미-w7h I have a very happy life. But what does "supporting transgenders" mean to you? Do you think a child should be given hormone blockers? Do think they should be able to consent to surgery? Do you think it's cool that they can join women's sports and completely dominate, or do you think it's just a coincidence that transgendered "women" are breaking all the records (and sometimes heads) of female athletes?

@DonaldTrumps RightFoot "Actually there have been studies to show that transgender people’s brains are different to the gender they were assigned at birth" 1. That can be seen in the brains of people we both would agree have mental disorders. It could simply be the explanation of why they believe they're a different gender; it doesn't mean that they are. 2. This is a very disingenuous point to bring up anyway. We both know that the pro-trans community would still call a biological male who identified as female a woman, even if they didn't have a brain the size of the average female. So this isn't the general reason we're expected to go along with the worldview. "Also trans women don’t have an advantage in sports because they may be a bit taller but most trans female athletes take estrogen which decreases their muscle mass by so much that they have to take foods that are high in calcium so the can just walk." Estrogen preserves bone density, however, and there are many other factors that go into the advantage men have over women. No one can deny they are still visibly more powerful than the biological women they're competing against. That's why they win at a rate disproportionate to how many trans "women" there are in the country. If there were really no advantage, a trans "woman" winning against a biological woman would be an extremely rare occurrence. "Please don’t hate the trans community" I don't hate anybody, but I disagree with the worldview for the above (and other) reasons.

@_blank-_ No problem. And thank you for the support! To reiterate, I do not hate trans people (and I'm sure you don't either). But to lump transgenderism in with homosexuality/bisexuality makes no sense to me whatsoever.

I've always been pro-LGB but I'm not on board with the transgender movement. We're seeing (unless we're intentionally ignoring) some serious problems with it already. Aside from the general incoherence of the worldview, pushing for hormone blockers and/or surgery for little children and the way it's hurt women's sports are real, legitimate concerns. Feel free to dismiss me as a "transphobe" or whatever, but I know that isn't the case. It's not about fear or hate, it's just about thinking critically and telling the truth.

@미미-w7h This is my hobby, so what? And what do you think about the actual topic?
2
@미미-w7h "i believe no one underage should be able to have any surgery that is not for emergency medical purposes," What if they identify as an 18-year old? "like teens getting plastic surgery with parental consent." What if the parent consents to having them go through a gender transition surgery? "i support trans women participating in women’s sports because they are women" So we're just going to ignore the fact that they keep dominating these sports as if they were men... Also, how do you know they're women? Is there something biological that tells you, or is it just because they identify as women?
2
@미미-w7h So you would reject the idea that they are 18 years old, even if they identify as an 18-year old... why? Why is that different from a biological male identifying as a female? And don't you think the trans "women" in sports are winning against female athletes at a disproportionate rate? I mean, they make up a microscopic percentage of the population; if there's no incredible biological advantage, shouldn't they make up a microscopic percentage of victories in women's sports?
2
@미미-w7h I'm not mocking anything or anyone. But I'm calling into question this worldview (a dangerous one, BTW, even the people who undergo sex reassignment surgery are at least 18 times more likely to attempt or commit suicide), and I'm not getting any good answers. It's remarkably incoherent! You won't accept "I am 18" from a 6-year old child, but you will accept "I am a woman" from an adult who is biologically male. I understand you've been told that it's hateful to not just fall in line without question, but those people lied to you, simple as that.
2
@미미-w7h There's no evidence that the (extremely high) suicide rates of transgendered people are different in places where it's more accepted. But I await an answer for my challenges to this worldview. So far, all you're doing is taking aim at me on a personal level.
2
@미미-w7h Insinuating that my questions are "mocking" someone when they're not. Asking what my profession is as if that has any effect on the validity of my arguments. And that's great that there's "research"; you should be able to answer my questions with ease then. Why won't you accept "I am 18" from a 6-year old child, even though you will accept "I am a woman" from an adult who is biologically male?
2
@미미-w7h No you have not. All you did was accuse me of "mocking" gender identities, reassert that there is some mysterious difference, and argued from authority. I'm asking you plainly, why would you deny that a 6-year old was 18 if they told you flat-out, to your face, that they identify as 18? And anytime you want to summarize that aforementioned "research", feel free to do that also.
2
@미미-w7h What. Is. That. Difference?
2
@미미-w7h So you had the time to type all of those comments (since I first asked, you've posted six!), but somehow just can't find the time to answer the one simple question I asked a week ago, okay.
2
@미미-w7h Likewise. And if you ever do come up with an answer, lemme know! 👍 @DonaldTrumps RightFoot "Actually there have been studies to show that transgender people’s brains are different to the gender they were assigned at birth" 1. So long as you're not a little kid "choosing" to radically alter your body, I agree. And so long as you're not trying to force other people to say/do things you want them to say/do.
1
@niyatan8937 I'm neither afraid of them nor hateful of them. Why would I say I'm transphobic?
1
@niyatan8937 I'm definitely not preaching hate. Indeed, I explicitly said "I do not hate trans people". You're just trying to attack my character because you can't deal with my arguments.
1
@niyatan8937 Oh I'm just fine. I didn't say you hurt my feelings or something; but you are attacking my character by saying I'm preaching hate. And sure, I'm saying that if you think you're a woman when you're actually a man, that's delusional. Add to that the extraordinarily high suicide rate, and that spells mental illness in my book. But no, disagreeing with someone is not "feeding into the mindset that gets trans people killed". Certainly no more than your insistence that if I disagree with you, I must be hateful. Some people use that as an excuse to kill someone, so if I have to walk on eggshells here, so should you. BTW, I have a question I can never get a good answer to. Why am I obligated to treat a man like a woman if that's what he identifies as, but we're not obligated to treat a child like an adult if that's what they identify as? What's the fundamental difference?

@hcfan754 My response to you keeps getting blocked. Gonna try adding it to my last comment, and if that doesn't work, I'll try posting it on the main comment wall.
