@brnk2 Okay so presuming we're talking about biological males who "identify as" women, how do they know they're women despite their biological makeup which normally makes people men?

Transgenderism remains a wholly incoherent and inconsistent worldview. Not only does it require you to confuse gender with the inclination/disinclination to adhere to gender roles and norms; but the same reasoning supposedly obligating us to call men women is never applied to obligate others to call white men black, adults children, etc.

@desireedymond1252 Alright, so there are at least two problems with the brain structure angle: 1. Even people we would both agree are delusional feature differences in the structure of their brains. We don't therefore conclude that the man who thinks he's Superman is indeed Superman; at best, we conclude that these differences might explain why he believes that. 2. We both know that even if a biological male who identifies as a woman doesn't have a so-called "female brain", he would be called a woman anyway. Similarly, if I (a man who acknowledges that I'm a man) were to have a "female brain" you wouldn't insist that I was actually a woman. This highlights how the science becomes quite irrelevant really; it really does seem to be about what a person "identifies as". A possible third would involve determining when the initial brain scan was taken, as we can alter the physical structure of our brains via environment and lifestyle over time.

@hiimpeyton671 Well for starters, I believe that the truth has inherent value. I think we should want to understand what's true, logical and/or valid even if we don't have some other benefit to gain from it. But secondly, this worldview is often the basis for a push to control others (their speech, their behavior, even how they run their own businesses). So there needs to some justification for such a worldview for that reason as well. I suppose a third (admittedly a distant third) would be that transgenderism correlates with high rates of suicidality. And one might say that this is all because trans people are bullied or attacked, but it could just as easily be because they're told that everyone who disagrees with them is "transphobic" and therefore hates them.

@kooby122 That doesn't logically follow, no. And nor does the fact that I disagree with transgenderism suggest that I hate, fear, dislike, or have any prejudice against trans people at all. But you're not wanting to have a conversation, are you? You're just wanting to try and discredit people by calling them names ;)

In fact, this is what trans people and trans advocates would say about a biological male who had a "female brain" but still identified as a man. "In your brain structure explanation, you forgot to add that there is a typical 'male brain' and then a slightly different version, a more 'feminine' but still male brain." Actually, I suspect that brain types are on somewhat of a spectrum. But whether they are or not, it wouldn't affect my points about why we should reject the "brain studies" angle. "this implies that your statement about the brain structure not being a determining factor of femininity or masculinity is incorrect, as even the traditional brain has a counterpart in which it is more like how the opposite sex brain operates, making the behavior more 'feminine' or 'masculine' depending on how your brain developed." Which would still just make them men who "think like" or "act like" women, or women who "think or act like" men. Again, all of this is quite irrelevant to the transgender worldview, if we're honest, because at the end of the day it's all about how a person identifies.

@H T Apologies, yes, I assumed it was addressing my response to it. The science itself is irrelevant to their worldview, though they may have gotten an impressive number of scientists to give their seal of approval. I wonder if a mathematician told them that 2 plus 2 equaled 5, would they believe that also? ;)
