  5.  @treeaboo  Are you referring to recent reports from the media, which confused ground surface temperature with the 2 meter air temperature? As for the claim that the effects of the Medieval Warm Period were only felt in Northern Europe, what about the Mendenhall glacier, under which they found 1,000 year old tree stumps still attached to the ground? Or the fact that there are 5,000 year old white spruce stumps in Canada over 100 km away from where those trees exist now?
