Nothing says "You have dignity" better than "Sit here, I'ma go force a stranger to give you money".

Cornel West be like, "When we say we want to 'abolish' these things, we just mean change them. Like, before I came here, I abolished my clothes, you know? Dirty clothes is a rejection of my dignity as a human being..."

@roberthood7650 That is precisely what they're advocating. And to be clear, this has been going on for decades; they're just wanting to ramp it up. I also don't know why you assume I'm okay with subsidizing Wall Street, either; I'm for government getting out of the market in general.

@jasonmartin4775 Well it's the government I don't trust. But regardless of whether we think of each other as strangers, friends, brothers/sisters, etc., doesn't change my point about dignity. Real dignity is treating someone like a human being that can rise up and take care of themselves, but the Democrats tend to sell the victimhood mentality instead, which never gets you anywhere.

@jasonmartin4775 On all that, I agree. But I don't see how it applies to my original point.

So he's just gonna act like Trump was the one who started all of that separating kids from their families at the border? Was he protesting like this when Obama did it? Bet not.

@roberthood7650 My response to you was blocked. Gonna try and add it to my last comment here.

@roberthood7650 Okay so now YouTube deleted that comment. Anyway, in short, Scandinavian countries do not have minimum wage laws and you can confirm that anywhere on the internet. And while education is tuition-free (for the parents), they do have school vouchers which Bernie opposes (because all he wants is control). But it means schools compete and that benefits the kids. Finally, the free market is what allows the larger welfare system. Comparably high taxes for the lower and middle classes, and not higher taxes for the supply side of the economic system. The opposite of what Bernie wants.

@roberthood7650 No, there is no minimum wage law in Scandinavia and you can confirm this online. We do not have a right to other people's time, money, and services. And while they do have tuition-free universities, they also have a freer market to facilitate that (e.g., they don't penalize the wealthy with high corporate tax rates). That's what we should lean toward in the U.S.
