  1. Well part of the reason Bezos is still going is probably that he finds meaning in being productive. Being rich isn't the objective, but making a difference is. Imagine just winning the lottery and being rich. Now imagine creating all the value he's created for people around the world, all the jobs he's created, being able to donate a ton of money to charities, etc.

  3.  @roxasreturns2183  Well for starters, they might not be creating $15 worth of value every hour. But more broadly, the minimum wage law has always been a bad idea that ends up backfiring. Companies (because they still have to make a profit) will often hire fewer people, cut hours of the ones working there, lay people off, pass the costs down to the consumers (which would include both the ones working and the unemployed), and/or shut down altogether.
