  1. William Lane Craig refuted this idea (along with the other arguments in Dawkins' book) a long time ago. An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in any god. Saying a Christian is "an atheist in regards to all the gods they don't believe in" is like saying you're unemployed in regards to all the jobs you don't have. It's silly. In addition, the implication is that since there are so many gods you don't believe in, you might as well stop believing in the one you do. But that's not how probability theory works. You have to take each claim on a case by case basis and ask if you (in particular) have any more reason to believe in one proposition than the others. And it turns out most Christians believe on the basis of personal experiences in which god has "made himself known" to them. So this alone is reason enough for them to believe in that god, and the lack of an experience of other gods is reason enough for them not to believe in them (just as the real reason we atheists are non-believers is that we haven't had these experiences).

  2.  @Hylianamused  True that atheism doesn't mean the claim that there is definitely no god, but I don't blame theists for thinking it does. Anti-theists like Richard Dawkins are often presented as our representatives, and Dawkins flat-out claims that god is a delusion (i.e., a false belief).
