@Callsign_Prophet I assume you're being sarcastic, but it really does make a difference. Socialism is an economic system lasting indefinitely so that people can start depending on it, and when it begins to go south they have fewer options for getting their needs met. But, to be fair, at least most countries don't go to the extremes that Bernie Sanders wants to go to (e.g, to my knowledge, none of them have banned private health insurance).

It's not complicated, Joe. Temporarily money given for relief in times of crisis can be a great help- indeed, it may be your moral duty. But if it's something the people become dependent on, that's when you find trouble. All the government programs meant to "help" (if indeed that was the intention) have hurt instead. Like, we’ve spent over $22 trillion on anti-poverty programs since the so-called “War on Poverty” began.
