I'm with Candace. It's time for people (of all minorities) to think for themselves regardless of what people think of them. And it also doesn't have to win most blacks for it to be a good movement. Any fraction stolen from the Democratic party is going to significantly hurt their chances of ever winning again.

@mansamusa8410 It's the "of the culture" part that I just don't get. If someone is black, then they're black. Doesn't matter where they're raised. Now, if what her critics mean by "the black community" is really "people who were raised in the ghetto", then they should stop saying "the black community" and say that instead. But then of course they'd have to include whites, Hispanics, etc. and we'd probably see a lot of black racists decline to do such a thing ;)

@damnedifido1062 It's not that she chose a side as a reaction but it can make you think about the side you've chosen (or are being expected to choose). And that's really what being a free thinker is. Now, as for criticizing both parties I'm not so sure she hasn't. Quite frankly I'd consider her biased towards Trump specifically, if anyone. And that would be a flaw, for sure, but no one's saying Candace (or Trump, or anyone else) is perfect.
