  1. I don't know much about them as I'm from down south, but I did encounter them in the Northern Territory near a lake in Litchfield National Park. They seemed fairly docile, just hanging around the area where we entered the water to swim. Obviously we were more worried about crocs. They seemed like an oversized goanna, which are much more common around the place up there.
